The Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa’s study cycle in Architecture is adapted to the Bologna Process as an undergraduate degree with an integrated master degree. This study cycle offers a space for the teaching, cultural debate and research in the discipline of architecture.
Several tendencies regarding practice and thought are experimented and divulged, giving the students an opportunity to experiment the future exercise of architecture in building and requalifying built and urban heritage.
Study and research are assured through specialization courses and the master’s degree, as well as the Research Center in Territory, Architecture and Design (CITAD).

The integrated study cycle that leads to the Master Degree in Architecture aims to offer the students:
(1) É conferido o grau de licenciado em Ciências da Arquitectura após seis semestres e aprovação em 180 ECTS.
(2) São 41 créditos para a parte lectiva e 15 créditos (25 % de 60) para dissertação e trabalho de projecto.

The accreditation of the first and second study cycles in architecture, undergraduate and master degree respectively, is decided upon by the Board of Administration of A3ES - Higher Education Evaluation and Accreditation Agency.
Architects who graduate from the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa are recognized by the European Union
The European Commission, based on the n.º 7 of the 21st article of September 7th 2005 European Parliament and Council's Directive 2005/36/CE, regarding the recognition of professional qualifications, and with the draft given by the November 20th 2006 Directive 2006/100/CE, published in the Official Journal of the European Union, Series C 183, June 28th 2013, the recognition of the architects graduated from the Universidade Lusíada de Lisboa (ULL). This recognition allows the ULL masters in architecture to work as an architect in any European Union Member State.
