The University was founded in Lisbon on 28 June 1986 under the name Cooperativa de Ensino Universidade Lusíada, but recently re-chartered by Legal Decree 117/2003 of 14 June as the Fundação Minerva – Cultura – Ensino e Investigação Científica.
Socrates / Erasmus
As Portugal is a member state of the European Union, it naturally shares the communitarian policy of creating a free-circulation space for persons, goods and services, and for the internationalization of studies, through the Socrates / Erasmus student-exchange program.
